SERIES RP-1450 TRANSPONDERS OR TAGS

Series RP-1450 transponders or tags are small data carriers that can be read by series RP-1500 beacons via microwave radio frequency at 2,45 GHz., fast and sure.

Each Tag RP-1450 has an internal unique number recorded inside its memory. This unique number is read by the beacons as the train is passing by, thus identifying uniqueness each train (if tags attached to it) or each location (if tags attached to the ground and beacons under the train).

The reading range can be as far as up to 5 meters, but the real target reading range depends mainly on the train speed. With the RP-1450 series tags, the maximum reading train speed can be as huge as 400 Km/h (using high speed tag RP-1456).

Common features of series RP-1450 transponders or tags are:

Fast and sure communication (reading) with series RP-1500 beacons at 2,45 GHz., transferring to them its internal unique number.

Reading range adjustable and well-defined, from 75 cm. up to 5 metres, depending on the beacon used.

Active Tags (with internal batteries): life cycle independent of the number of readings, which means that the expected life is very predictable: from 6 (RP-1450) to 8 (RP-1456) years. No further problems regarding shorter real life.

Automatic battery low indicator, transmitted together with the internal unique number each time the tag is read. Battery low state 2 to 3 months before ending life, so replacement planning quite easy.

IP67 casing, with a very good mechanical and chemical resistance (PPS thermoplastic). Operating temperatures from -40 ºC to 85ºC. Dimensions: (mm.): 91 x 59 x 8 mm.
